The Retreat Center is located in Sullivan County of New York State, about two and a half hours drive from New York City. Though convenient for travelers, it is removed from highways and tranquil, without a hint of being close to one the busiest cities in the world.
The center offers public teaching and meditation programs, short term group and individual retreats, and hosts a study and meditation group. Teachings and guidance are given by H.E. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche and Ven. Khenchen Rinpoche.
The center started to host events in 2003, and was brought under Dharmakaya near the end of 2011, and renamed "Dharmakaya Retreat Center".

Future Retreat Center - Mahamudra Hermitage:
A new meditation and retreat center in New York state is currently under design. It was originally planned to be built on thirty-four acres of land donated to UTBF. Due to positive responses, the project has grown substantially in scale, leading to the purchase of a larger construction site.
The new hermitage intends to offer public meditation programs, short and long term retreats, including retreats of the Six Teachings of Naropa. It would include a main temple, a short term meditation and retreat center and a long term retreat center.
The construction and management for Mahamudra Hermitage is entrusted to Dharmakaya - a new organization under the guidance of H.E. Trungram Gyaltrul Rinpoche - our spiritual director. Please view more details about the project on the Dharmakaya website.
